We’ll give you a clear schedule at sign-off. GC coordination, site readiness, and concurrent trades can affect timing.
Custom: exact fit, premium materials, integrated details, long lifecycle, highest design control.
Prefab/modular: faster, lower cost, limited sizes/finishes, less seamless integration.
If you value tailored function and a long-term result, custom pays off. If timeline and budget dominate, modular can be the right call.
Millwork is the broader category: paneling, trim, doors, built-ins, shelving, benches, wall systems, and furniture-grade elements.
Cabinetry is a subset focused on storage boxes with doors/drawers (kitchens, vanities, wardrobes).
UMPA does both and coordinates them so the room reads as one design.
Great, stable choices: rift/quarter-sawn white oak, walnut, and hard maple (paint-grade or clear).
We often use veneered cores for stability with solid-wood edges, plus low-VOC finishes suited to coastal humidity and sun exposure.
We’ll recommend by style, durability, and maintenance goals.
Yes. UMPA installs directly or coordinates with your GC. We handle delivery, leveling, scribing to walls/floors, door/drawer tuning, and provide site-readiness guidelines so install is clean and quick.
Not required. UMPA is architect-led and can guide you from concept to install. If you already have a designer or architect, we collaborate—shared drawings, approvals, and site coordination keep everything moving.
